The closing ceremony of the training program for judges from South Asian countries was held at the National Judges College on July 6. Sun Zhenping, head of the Political Department of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) of China, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks.
Sun congratulated all participants on the successful completion of the program. He said that China and South Asian countries, linked by mountains and rivers, enjoy close people-to-people ties and are friendly neighbors and natural partners pursuing common development and sharing weal and woe.
In recent years, political mutual trust between China and South Asian countries has continued to deepen, with cooperation yielding fruitful results, Sun noted.
China’s SPC, he said, stands ready to work with its counterparts in South Asian countries to promote mutual learning in the rule of law, share its experience in advancing the rule of law, and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
A Pakistani participant delivered remarks at the ceremony. All participants in the training program, along with officials from the National Judges College, attended the closing ceremony.
