He Xiaorong meets Egyptian judicial delegation

On Oct 17, He Xiaorong, vice-president of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) of China, met with a delegation led by Hamad Makram Tawfek, vice-president of the Egyptian State Council and president of the Supreme Administrative Court of Egypt, in Beijing. 

He noted that Egypt was the first Arab and African country to establish diplomatic relations with China.Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the top courts of China and Egypt have maintained close and friendly exchanges. 

He briefed the delegation on China’s progress in advancing the rule of law and the work of its courts, particularly the development of the administrative litigation system and administrative adjudication. He expressed the hope that China and Egypt would further strengthen judicial exchanges and cooperation to provide stronger legal and institutional support for practical bilateral cooperation and contribute to the sustained growth of China-Egypt relations.

Hamad Makram Tawfek expressed Egypt’s keen interest in China’s practices in administrative adjudication and judge training and voiced the country’s willingness to strengthen collaboration in these areas.

Khaled Ahmed Farouk Nazmy, Egyptian ambassador to China, and representatives from relevant departments of the SPC, also attended the meeting.
