Deng Xiuming meets with Hungarian minister of justice
Deng Xiuming, executive vice-president of the Supreme People's Court of China, met with a delegation led by Hungarian Minister of Justice Bence Tuzson on Oct 10.
Deng noted that Hungary is an important partner of China in fostering Belt and Road cooperation and cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, judicial institutions of China and Hungary have maintained close exchanges, he said.
He briefed the delegation on China’s progress in advancing the development of the rule of law, highlighting ongoing efforts to accelerate the building of digital courts, establish a unified network of courts nationwide and advance the intelligent transformation of judicial services. These efforts, he said, aim to leverage science and technology to enhance judicial quality and efficiency, better serving the overall interests and administering justice for the people.
Deng expressed hope that both sides will further implement the important consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders, deepen exchanges on legal civilization, and expand practical cooperation to contribute to the high-quality development of China-Hungary relations and the steady, healthy growth of China-Europe relations.
Tuzson commended the achievements of China’s courts in digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence, expressing Hungary’s interest in strengthening exchanges and cooperation in these fields.
Péter Király, deputy head of mission at the Hungarian embassy in China, also attended the meeting.
