Yang Linping meets with ClientEarth CEO

On Oct 14, Yang Linping, vice-president of China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC), met with a delegation led by Laura Clarke, chief executive officer of ClientEarth, in Beijing. 

Yang highlighted the long-standing and productive partnership between Chinese courts and ClientEarth in the field of environmental justice. She noted that both sides have achieved solid outcomes through cooperation in areas such as case information sharing, judicial capacity building, and joint publications. The SPC, she added, stands ready to further strengthen exchanges and collaboration with ClientEarth in advancing law-based environmental governance and green development, contributing jointly to global environmental governance and the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Clarke commended China’s remarkable achievements in environmental adjudication and expressed her hope to continue sharing China’s best practices and deepen cooperation between the two sides in relevant fields.

Officials from relevant departments of the SPC also attended the meeting.
