Liu Guixiang attends closing ceremony of fifth seminar for judges from Latin American countries
The fifth seminar for judges from Latin American countries, hosted by China’s National Judges College, concluded at the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) in Beijing on July 22. Liu Guixiang, a standing member of the SPC’s adjudication committee (vice-ministerial level), attended the closing ceremony and delivered remarks.
Liu spoke about the friendly exchanges between China and Latin American countries, saying that during the seminar, participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and mutual learning, fully demonstrating the spirit of inclusiveness and cooperation.
He expressed the hope that this program will serve as a new starting point for deepening practical cooperation with Latin American countries, fostering Belt and Road cooperation, and injecting lasting momentum of the rule of law into the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
Thirty judicial officers from nine countries—Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay— participated in the two-week program. Representatives of the participants delivered speeches at the closing ceremony.
