Zhang emphasized the strong bond between China and Vietnam, noting that China and Vietnam are close socialist neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, sharing common ideals and broad strategic interests. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both parties and countries, bilateral relations have achieved leapfrog development in recent years, with deepened political trust, dynamic economic exchanges, and a time-honored friendship, he noted.
Noting that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam as well as the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges, Zhang expressed his hope that the visit would further promote mutual understanding and advance judicial cooperation between the two sides to new heights.
During the meeting, Zhang briefed the delegation on the progress in China’s rule of law and the work of Chinese courts, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as bankruptcy adjudication, intellectual property protection, and the establishment of financial courts. He expressed the hope that both sides will take this visit as an opportunity to further implement the strategic consensus reached by both the leaders of the two parties and countries, deepen judicial collaboration, and contribute to building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, while jointly safeguarding regional and global peace and stability.
Le Minh Tri expressed appreciation for the warm reception and candid discussions. He described the meeting as friendly, pragmatic, and productive, and expressed his hope that both sides will continue to enhance judicial exchanges and cooperation, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.
After the meeting, the Vietnamese delegation toured the digital court laboratory of the SPC.
Shen Liang, vice-president of China’s SPC, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh, and representatives from the SPC also attended the meeting.
