SPC’s Intellectual Property Court releases 2024 report and judgment summary
The Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People’s Court released its annual report and judgment summary for the year 2024 on April 25.
The report highlights the court’s achievements in 2024, a pivotal year for realizing the goals outlined in China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) and the sixth year since the court was established. It underscores the court’s dedication to promoting technological innovation, protecting intellectual property, and ensuring fair competition. The report also emphasizes efforts to strengthen the national framework for handling appeals involving intellectual property and enhance the efficiency of adjudications concerning cases related to technical intellectual property and antitrust matters.
From over 4,213 cases handled in 2024, the court selected 157 key cases and formed a summary of 190 pieces of judgment abstract. The summary provides a detailed look at the court's approach and judicial thinking in handling cases related to technical intellectual property and antitrust issues, offering valuable insights for research and reference.
