Addressing the meeting, Zhang hailed the significant role of the two associations in promoting the overall work of the Party and the country, as well as the entire judicial system. He highlighted the importance of their work in advancing Party building within the judicial system, serving judicial adjudication, implementing judicial reform initiatives, enhancing the quality and capabilities of judges, and expanding judicial exchanges and cooperation.

Noting that the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made a series of significant arrangements for further comprehensively deepening reform and advancing Chinese modernization, Zhang said this brought new opportunities and challenges for the people’s courts in carrying out judicial adjudication and judicial reform, as well as new requirements for the two associations.

Zhang urged the two associations to mobilize judges to actively engage in judicial adjudication and intensify research on major theoretical and practical issues in order to contribute to the building of a fair, efficient and authoritative socialist judicial system.
