A total of 100 intermediate and grassroots-level courts, including Beijing Financial Court, have been honored as national demonstration courts for their outstanding people-centered practices.

The Supreme People's Court recently made the announcement.

During the past few years, people's courts at all levels have fully followed the people-oriented development philosophy, and made the utmost efforts to ensure that justice is served in every case. They have put people first in the judicial system, upheld impartial administration of justice, underscored such key links as political building, litigation services, judgment enforcement, judicial openness, and the handling of public complaints, and pressed ahead with the building of model courts and the rolling out of innovative approaches. They have also made efforts to strengthen their capacity to better serve the general public and deepen ties with the people. As a result, a number of courts have stood out as top performers in the people-centered judicial practices with high public satisfaction.

The award-winning courts are urged to cherish the honor, adopt creative work methods and practices, make judicial services more convenient for the people, sum up and promote experiences and norms in people-centered practices, and give full play to their exemplary roles.

Meanwhile, the Supreme People's Court has called on the people's courts and staff at all levels to fully study, grasp and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), take the honored courts as an example, adhere to the people-centered development philosophy, and safeguard lawful rights and interests of the people. They are urged to forge ahead with enterprise and fortitude, provide effective judicial services to support the realization of Chinese modernization, and strive in unity to build a modern socialist country in all respects and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.

The national campaign to select demonstration courts of serving the people is a concrete measure taken by the Supreme People's Court to further consolidate and expand achievements in the Party history learning and education campaign. Fifty-one specific indicators in 23 categories have been formulated to comprehensively assess the qualification of candidate courts and select the winners.
