Taiwan-related disputes mediation to be more efficient

The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Supreme People's Court have worked together and launched a connecting mechanism on the basis of the online mediation platform in a bid to better settle Taiwan-related civil and commercial disputes, office spokesman Ma Xiaoguang said at a regular press briefing on Dec 29, 2021.

The mechanism aims to offer one-stop and whole-process dispute resolution services at tiaojie.court.gov.cn, the online mediation platform of the people's court, for compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, especially Taiwan compatriots, according to Ma.

The services include diversified mediation, judicial confirmation, case registration and filing, Ma noted.

Over 180 mediation organizations, as well as more than 540 mediators, including more than 80 from Taiwan, have registered on the online platform, he said. adding that Taiwan compatriots and enterprises can access it through its mobile app, official website, mini program or public account on WeChat.
