An awards ceremony was held at the Supreme People's Court (SPC) to commend outstanding judicial staff members and groups of 2018 on Jan 29.

The ceremony affirmed work of judicial officers and judging groups in 2018 and called all judicial workers to learn from the models.

In 2018, the SPC set the goal of "letting the people feel justice in each judicial case", administrated justice for the people and maintained judicial fairness.

Judicial work including trials, reform and construction of smart courts and judge team building has also improved.

The ceremony stressed that the SPC will continue to focus on deepening judicial reform, building smart courts and improving judging capacity to promote rule by law. It will also contribute to securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realize the Chinese Dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

SPC President Zhou Qiang and other SPC leaders including Zhang Shuyuan, Tai Kaiyuan, Gao Jinghongm, Luo Dongchuan, Liu Haiquan, Yang Wanming, Hu Yunteng and Pei Xianding attended the ceremony and gave the prizes to the winners.

Also present at the ceremony were judicial staff from the SPC, SPC circuit courts, the Intellectual Property Court, the National Judges College and the People’s Courts News and Communication Agency.
