Pushing forward the campaign against gang crimes and letting the people feel justice in each judicial case were stressed at a seminar on the fight against gang crimes held in Changsha, Hunan province, on Dec 24.

At the seminar, Zhou Qiang, chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), affirmed the courts' performance in the campaign fighting against gang crimes this year and suggested that courts should learn from the experience and correct shortages to deepen their anti-gang crimes campaigns.

Zhou required courts at various levels in China to accurately find the root of the gang-related crimes and improve the predictability, pertinence and efficiency of the judicial work.

In addition, he said litigation procedures must be strictly followed to make sure of the accuracy of each case.

Zhou also encouraged courts to cooperate with other political science and law institutes and units to deepen the fight against gang crimes in order to maintain national security, promote fairness and justice and guarantee sound and safe lives for the people.
