Sixteen foreign journalists in China from more than a dozen foreign media outlets visited the Supreme People's Court (SPC) on Dec 20.
They went to the information management center at the SPC and also took in some exhibitions focused on special judicial themes like "Achievements of resolving the problem of difficult enforcement" and "Changes of China's courts for the past 40 years" and tried out the high-tech devices and programs used in trials.
The reporters also visited the China Court Museum, where they learned about the development of China's courts and international judicial cooperation under 40 years of reform and opening-up through words, photos, objects and videos.
Later, a seminar was held between some of the SPC staffs and the reporters to promote China's judicial development in aspects of trials, intellectual property protection, human rights protection, joint punishment of defaulters, recruitment of judges and international judicial exchanges and cooperation.
The event was intended to promote the courts' achievements in judicial fairness and deepening judicial reform over the past 40 years.
