China's courts are looking forward to cooperation with the World Bank to improve the country's business climate.
Liu Guixiang, full-time member of the Supreme People's Court judicial committee (vice-minister level), and Grand Justice of the second rank, met with a delegation led by Marcin Piatkowski, senior economist at the World Bank, for discussions on business climate research on Nov 1.
Liu welcomed the delegation and said the World Bank's report on doing business has provided important information to help China improve its business environment.
He added that the meeting will have a positive impact on legal business climate development in China.
He outlined measures courts at various levels in China have put forward and said they have been putting attention on guaranteeing a stable and fair business climate through judicial procedures.
The two sides showed their willingness to cooperate in that area and Piatkowski said the World Bank will increase exchanges with China's courts.
