A railway court in China's Anhui province has come up with a new method to compel defaulters to fulfill court orders.
According to anhuinews.com, Hefei Railway Transportation Court released the personal information of defaulters on giant passenger information screens at ten railway stations in Anhui province.
This comes as part of a one-month campaign launched by the court to improve and strengthen public awareness of defaulting.
Chinese courts are also using other means to punish people who have failed to fulfill court orders.
Many defaulters would be unable to travel by plane, sleeper cars or first-class coaches on high-speed trains and bullet trains in China within a 180-day period.
Others are prevented from taking a number of national exams.
Some people are also identified as defaulters when making or receiving telephone calls.
The Supreme People's Court is considering a plan to make defaulters' information public on their social media accounts, such as QQ and WeChat.
