The head of China’s top court urged court staff around the country to stick to life-long learning and keep improving their judicial capability on April 4 in Beijing.

Zhou Qiang, chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), made the remarks when visiting the renovated SPC library, which reopened that day.

Zhou said that court staff should keep on learning all the time to better implement such goals as justice for the people and fair judicial procedures.

The library can serve as an important platform for court personnel to learn and exchange thoughts and ideas, he added.

The renovation of the library started in July 2017, and is meant to equip it with the latest technology and help users keep up with developmental trends.

Zhou said the library will help various professional services with modern technology.

He called for making it world-class, a source of documents and materials from home and abroad.

He also encouraged more information connectivity and a mixture of traditional and emerging libraries.
