Smart court construction has become a focus of deputies to the National People’s Congress (NPC) at the two sessions.
Wu Minglan, an NPC deputy from Guizhou province, said that court informatization can help provide stronger science and technology support to uphold social equity and justice and inject wisdom into judicial system reform.
The amazing achievement is that 3,525 courts and 10,759 people’s tribunals are all connected to the special unified network which is subject to whole-process supervision, according to Nie Yongping, an NPC deputy from Jiangsu province. Nie had high praise for the judicial openness achievements.
Yu Weixiang, an NPC deputy from Guizhou province, pointed out that practice proves that big data has great potential and helps provide transparent and convenient public services, impartial and highly-efficient trials and execution, and comprehensive and scientific judicial management.
Over the past five years, courts of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region have focused on smart court construction and have already established one-stop litigation service centers for the convenience of people, Liao Chaoyang, an NPC deputy from Xinjiang said.
The online case handling platform has centrally deployed an execution process mode management system, a pre-litigation mediation system, and a judicial auxiliary system to enable trial and execution work that is completely online.
In 2017, the Supreme People’s Court released a series of instructions on smart platforms to manage the court information system.
The use of big data, intelligent voice systems and smart technology helps improve judicial efficiency. It also benefits the use of data in judicial research and analysis.
