The Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China held a symposium in October last year to discuss reform and development of juvenile courts.
At the Nanjing intermediate people's court, social surveys, round table hearings and psychological treatment among other mechanisms are merged into civil and family juvenile cases.
During the proceedings a number of factors such as public interest and human relations are taken into consideration to bring about the best effect.
On May 26, the Hongkou district people's court in Shanghai released a white paper introducing the basic procedures, typical cases, and ideas concerning juvenile matters.
Various mechanisms, including psychological intervention and education and promotion of law, are involved.
"It's our responsibility and obligation to make more and more people pay attention to minors growth and to make a joint effort to prevent juvenile criminal behavior,"said Gan Xiaoqin, head of the juvenile trial court of the Xicheng district people's court in Beijing.
On May 26, the court released cases illustrating harm to teenagers at after-school tutoring centers.
Judges at the Xicheng court give lectures and hold moot court activities in their spare time to promote laws and regulations to students and their parents.
China's first comprehensive website on juvenile family law was launched in Liuzhou city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on May 23.
People can file cases and apply for habeas corpus on the site. More functions– including pre-litigation mediation, case information and psychological counseling – will be added to the website soon.
It will also share data with public security organs, women's federations and local communities in the future.
