Zhou noted that as research into the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics is strengthened, China can contribute its legal wisdom and achievements to the international community.
"Theories should be combined with realities", said Zhou, who encouraged the combination of legal education with judicial practices.
According to Zhou, advancing the theory of socialist rule of law can help boost judicial fairness and China's construction of the rule of law.
The two-way communication mechanism between courts, law schools and law research institutes should be well established and improved, the president noted.
Legal researchers and college students majoring in law can also deepen their understanding of China and real society through applicable, representative case studies, field inspection and legal research. Thus, Zhou suggested, they will be able to strengthen their ability to analyze and solve legal problems.
Zhou also demanded all legal professionals to study new legal problems in new situations with China's experience in legal practices.
