SPC head calls for serving high-quality development of digital economy with a higher level of digital justice
Efforts should be taken to give full play to judicial functions, further deepen exchanges and cooperation with judicial organs across the globe, so as to serve the high-quality development of the digital economy with a higher level of digital justice, said Zhou Qiang, president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), at the Forum on Rule of Law in Digital Economy on May 26.
Zhou said that China has attached great importance to the development of digital economy. Responding to the development needs of the digital economy, Chinese courts introduced the “Three Major Rules” of online litigation, online mediation, and online operation. Efforts were made by the Chinese courts to build a new judicial model in the digital era, promote the improvement of digital economy governance system, and regulate and guide the healthy development of the global digital economy on the track of rule of law.
Zhou said Chinese courts look forward to joining hands with judicial organs across the globe to further deepen exchanges and cooperation, jointly enhancing the digital rule of law, building a widely-accepted and effective system of rules for the digital economy, and making contribution to refining the global digital governance system, and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
