SPC president meets with judicial officials from Abu Dhabi

Zhou Qiang, chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), met with Yosuf Alabri, undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, and Ali Mohammed Alblooshi, general attorney of Abu Dhabi, on Nov 11.
Zhou pointed out that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, which closed recently, has made important arrangement for upholding and improving the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and for advancing the modernization of the country's ability and capacity for governance, which is of far-reaching significance.
He said that judicial organs play an important role in state governance. Deepening of judicial reform and acceleration of smart courts will modernize trial systems and capability.
He said that the SPC is willing to carrying out pragmatic cooperation with judicial departments of Abu Dhabi in such areas as judicial reform, adoption of information technologies and personnel training, in order to serve the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and to benefit the people of both countries.
Alabri said that he was impressed with the progress made by Chinese courts in the adoption of information technologies.
He said that he expects to enhance communication and cooperation between judicial departments of Abu Dhabi and China.
