Zhou Qiang, chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court, met with Rubén Remigio Ferrodu, president of the People's Supreme Court of Cuba, at the Supreme People's Court on Sept 2.
Zhou briefed the latest progress of China's judicial reform, mentioning the building of smart courts, development of one-stop mechanisms for mediation and litigation as well as the establishment of special courts for cases related to disputes over commerce, intellectual property, internet and finance.
He said he hoped the two sides would strengthen communications on the judicial reform and the building of smart courts.
Remigio applauded China's achievements in advancing judicial reform and the information technology-based upgrading of Chinese courts, saying that he expected more communications between the two sides.
