The Wuzhen Internet International Convention Center, the main venue for the third World Internet Conference (WIC) that will be held between November 16 and 18 in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province, takes up 81,000 square meters and consists of three functional areas, including a conference center, reception center and exhibition center.
The venue, designed by Wang Shu, the first Chinese citizen to win the Pritzker Prize, the world's top prize in architecture, features 2.6 million blue roofing tiles, a typical traditional building material in the southern Yangtze River area, and 51,000 steel cables to form a web-like texture, a symbol of the internet.
