“I totally agree with the working report, as it is fact-based, objective, accurate and focused,” said Yang Linping, an NPC deputy and president of the Chongqing Municipal Higher People's Court, when reviewing the report on March 10.

It also reflects the unremitting pursuit of “letting the people feel fairness and justice in every single judicial case,” she noted.

Yang said great achievements have been reaped from judicial system reform over the past five years.

The quality, efficiency and credibility of trials keep improving, she added.

Deepening judicial system reform, promoting the construction of smart courts, improving the court talent pool, breaking the bottlenecks of enforcement and keeping court staff free from corruption are important issues for the future, according to Yang.
