Zhang Jun meets with Macao’s anti-corruption commissioner
Zhang Jun, chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), met with a delegation from the Commission Against Corruption of the Macao Special Administrative Region, headed by its Commissioner Against Corruption Ao Ieong Seong, in Beijing on March 31.

Zhang highlighted Macao’s important role in the country’s development under the “one country, two systems” policy and reiterated the SPC’s commitment to upholding the principle. He said the SPC will continue to advance cooperation with Macao's judicial and legal community, and support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Future efforts will focus on synergizing judicial and legal rules and mechanisms, enabling Macao to leverage its unique position and advantages to better integrate into the country’s overall development, he added.
Zhang briefed the delegation on topics of common interest including anti-corruption collaboration between the mainland and Macao and highlighted achievements in the country’s anti-corruption campaign. He said that people’s courts play a key role in the fight against corruption, bearing significant responsibilities and making important contributions. Zhang called for continued judicial cooperation between the mainland and Macao in combating corruption and improving anti-corruption effectiveness.
Ao Ieong Seong thanked Zhang for the meeting, saying her commission will continue its close relationship with mainland judicial bodies to advance anti-corruption efforts and uphold justice in the region.
Representatives from relevant judicial departments also attended the meeting.
