At the invitation of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts (SIFoCC), Wang Shumei, standing member of China's Supreme People's Court (SPC)'s adjudication committee, led a delegation to attend the forum meeting and visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar from April 16 to 23.

During the visit, Wang met respectively with President of the Federal Supreme Court of UAE Mohamed Hamad Al Badi and President of the Supreme Judiciary Council of Qatar Hassan bin Lahdan Al Mohannadi. She introduced China's rule of law development, focusing on the SPC's International Commercial Court and the resolution mechanism for international commercial disputes.

Badi spoke highly of China's rule of law development, especially of the achievements of China's International Commercial Court, and raised his hope for deepening bilateral judicial cooperation.

Mohannadi also raised hope for further judicial cooperation and exchanges for mutual learning.

During the trip, Wang attended the 5th Full Meeting of the SIFoCC in Doha, during which she delivered a keynote speech on commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation.

The delegation also visited the Abu Dhabi Global Market courts, the Investment and Trade Court in Qatar, and the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre.
