The closing ceremony of the first training program for judges from BRICS countries was held at the Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China on Dec 5. Liu Guixiang, standing member of the SPC's adjudication committee (vice-minister level), attended and addressed the event.

Liu acknowledged the success of the program, saying that as China's first training program for judges in the BRICS countries, it has enhanced their understanding of China's national situation, judicial system, and smart court development. He raised his hope that the event would serve as an opportunity for judges in BRICS countries to join hands and continue to build innovative, inclusive and multilateral platforms for judicial exchanges, in a bid to build a future of peace, development, and win-win cooperation for the BRICS family.
