Zhang Jun meets with Vietnamese counterpart in Nanning
On June 29, Zhang Jun, chief justice of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China, met with a delegation headed by Nguyen Hoa Binh, chief justice of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) of Vietnam, in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Zhang, also president of China's SPC, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and acknowledged the profound friendship between China and Vietnam as socialist neighboring countries. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, their bilateral relations have maintained steady and healthy development towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance, he noted. The SPCs of both countries have kept close communication and this visit is a vivid symbol of the profound friendship and pragmatic cooperation between the two courts, which is bound to bring about more fruitful results in judicial cooperation between the two countries, he said.
He introduced Chinese courts' work and judicial reform, with a focus on dispute resolution. He said that the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is the most essential feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and upholding the Party's leadership in the whole process and all respects of the law-based governance is a basic experience of China's socialist rule of law development. Noting that there is no one-size-fits-all political system or legal system in the world, Zhang said that the socialist rule of law has its own advantages and should be held on to with confidence. He said that China's SPC is ready to work with its Vietnamese counterpart to continuously promote multi-level exchanges between the two countries' court systems and deepen judicial coordination in a bid to contribute legal enrichment to the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation in the new era.
Binh, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, lauded the significant achievements of Chinese courts under the leadership of the CPC, as well as China's SPC's resolution in upholding the absolute leadership of the CPC, the people-centered approach and the path of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics. He introduced Vietnamese courts development and judicial reform, pointing out that courts in his country will draw on the useful experience of Chinese courts in strengthening mediation efforts and enhancing information-based development, further strengthen friendly and pragmatic cooperation with Chinese courts, and jointly promote the continuous development of judicial undertakings in both countries.
