As an undertaker of suggestions submitted by deputies to the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) has striven to better perform their duties in handling them through multiple measures.

Upon receiving the suggestions, the SPC held a mobilization meeting and conducted thematic research, and has communicated with more than 80 deputies via seminars and video conferences, exchanging views on handling their suggestions.

A direct contact mechanism was set up between the SPC and deputies, enabling the court to solicit advice and suggestions, update the handling progress, and respond to the deputies' latest suggestions.

Meanwhile, the top court promised to reply to deputies whose suggestions have been included in its recent plan, offering its road map and schedule for handling their suggestions. It also called on the deputies to follow and supervise its work progress.

The SPC organized thematic symposiums to collect advice and suggestions from NPC deputies and government departments through a digital platform, which has helped improve the handling efficiency of key suggestions.

In addition, it integrated suggestion handling with implementing the CPC Central Committee's decisions, addressing issues that concern people's vital interests, serving deputies' performance of duties and responding to social concerns.

The SPC has taken suggestion handling as a channel to solve problems, improve policies and its own work, and has enabled the suggestions to play a key role in promoting scientific, democratic and law-based decision-making.

It undertook a total of 498 suggestions from deputies at the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress in 2022, covering a wide range of issues, such as improving foreign-related judicial capacity, the construction of a dispute resolution center for international commercial affairs, and a crackdown on telecom and internet crimes.
