China's chief justice calls on deepening BRICS judicial cooperation
Zhou Qiang, president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China, recently attended the BRICS Justices Forum, which was held online and offline.
He said he hopes that the top courts of BRICS countries will further improve the cooperation mechanism and enhance the level of cooperation, writing a new chapter of BRICS judicial cooperation, so as to provide stronger judicial services for the economic and social development of BRICS countries and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Zhou Qiang pointed out that judicial cooperation is an important part of BRICS cooperation, and that the SPC is willing to work with the top courts of BRICS countries, upholding the BRICS spirit of openness, inclusiveness and win-win cooperation, in order to deepen practical cooperation in areas such as security, property rights protection, the digital economy, intelligent trials and dispute resolution.
By taking the measures, the SPC aims to propel high-quality judicial cooperation and build a closer and more comprehensive, pragmatic and inclusive high-end partnership among BRICS countries, and to make greater contributions to building a new type of international relations featuring mutual respect, fairness, justice, and win-win cooperation.
