SPC launches online petitioning platform
The Supreme People's Court (SPC) recently launched an online petitioning platform, a key measure among its efforts to establish a new model of full-process online petitioning. This model is expected to enhance the quality and efficiency of the courts' work in handling petitions lodged by the public.
With a people-centered approach, the online platform is intelligent, convenient and user-friendly, and has become an integral part of the working model where petitions can be handled both online and offline.
The platform combines a "full" range of functions such as applications, registrations, inquiries, status tracing, monitoring and reviews, and is open for petitions on cases in the criminal, civil, administrative and state compensation areas.
Empowered by technology, online petitions will be responded to and processed on the platform in a timely manner, and the whole handling procedure is open for any inquiries, status checks, monitoring and reviews.
Furthermore, efforts will be made to achieve joint or remote handling of the cross-level and trans-regional petitions, so as to better safeguard the people's interest and enhance their sense of gains and satisfaction.
The platform can be accesssed both via a website link and a WeChat mini program.
