The Supreme People's Court issued eight typical cases related to unauthorized expropriation of arable land in rural areas on Dec 14.

The cases were collected and sorted out by the SPC from courts nationwide. The release is meant to further strengthen the awareness of administrative organs and the public on the vital necessity of protecting arable land and to strictly curb its unauthorized expropriation.

Issuing the cases shows courts'“zero tolerance” of unauthorized expropriation of arable land and their responsibility and mission to draw a red line of protection around such land in accordance with the law.
