SPC vice president urges stronger judicial protection for IPR
He Rong, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), urged strengthening of judicial protection for intellectual property rights as she inspected the SPC’s Intellectual Property Court on Aug 27.
She stressed efforts to provide strong judicial service for building a new development pattern where domestic and international cycles boost each other, with the domestic cycle as the mainstay.
The IP Court has stuck to the principle of a high starting point, high standards and high levels as well as internationalization since its establishment and has been in full swing in improving trial efficiency and quality, which has added weight to judicial reform and innovation.
In addition, she stated that strengthening judicial protection for IPR is significant for improving the business environment, promoting development driven by innovation, enhancing national strategic strength, and dealing with the complicated international situation.
She urged continuous reform and innovation in developing the supervisory system in tandem with the comprehensive implementation of the judicial responsibility system to improve consistency in adjudication practices and trial quality and efficiency. She also stressed efforts to build a competent team for IPR trials.
