Zhang Shuyuan, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court, called for more efficient use of justice-related big data as part of the effort to advance the building of smart courts during his inspection tour in Shanghai on Aug 30.

Zhang pointed out that electronic court files should serve as a starting point to improve the intelligence of justice-related data's collection, application, integration and safety management.

He called on local courts to perfect smart data collection, verification and categorization for data accuracy, smart data applications for convenience, smart data integration and smart data safety management.
