Top court's vice-president meets with Taiwan delegation
Yang Wanming, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court, met with a judicial delegation from Taiwan on July 25. The delegation will attend a cross-Straits judicial practice seminar held on July 26, in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian province.
Yang extended a warm welcome to the Taiwan delegation and expressed his appreciation and gratitude for their contributions to promoting cross-Straits judicial and legal exchanges and cooperation.
The seminar over its 11 years has won wide appreciation on both sides of the Straits and played an important role in promoting cross-Straits integration and development, said Yang.
He said he hopes that both sides of the Straits will make full use of this platform and contribute more to benefiting the people, promoting the peaceful development of the cross-Straits relations, and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Yang described the judicial reform of courts nationwide and the works related to Taiwan which helps Taiwan people better solve difficulties through practical efforts.
Courts will continue to improve its judicial service, protect the legitimate rights and interests of Taiwan people according to the law and strive to push the court's work to a new level.
