Zhang Shuyuan, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), addressed the 2nd Digital China Summit, held from May 6 to 8 in Fuzhou, East China's Fujian province, on informatization new modes of judicial publicity and litigation services by following the people-centered development philosophy.

He said the SPC pays a lot of attentions to the informatization and smart courts construction.

China's courts have actively integrated big data and artificial intelligence with judicial work, explored a new combination of the Internet and litigation services to provide convenient and targeted services for the public, and have built the largest judicial information data base in the world offering big data analysis and special services to advance judicial management and social governance, according to Zhang.

The courts nationwide will continue to promote judicial informatization and smart courts construction, with focuses on smart litigation, enforcement, services and managment, said Zhang.

He added that courts will learn as well from various good e-government practices to make the field innovate and boost China's digital construction.

The smart courts construction fruits were showed at the summit which is a platform to boost informatization application development and themed on "fully implementing the new development philosophy, using IT applications to foster new growth drivers, making further progress, and achieving greater success."

The smart courts exhibition includes two venues presenting national smart courts construction and the successful outcomes of the practices by local smart courts in cities and provinces such as Beijing, Shenzhen and Yunnan.
