The delegation of the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region visited the Supreme People's Court (SPC) on Feb 25, with both sides hoping for more judicial cooperation.

During the visit, Yang Wanming, vice-president of the SPC, welcomed the delegation led by Hong Kong Secretary for Justice Teresa Cheng Yeuk-wah.

Yang affirmed that the signing of the document on judicial assistance over civil and commercial matters between courts in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong this January promotes mutual judicial assistance and expressed his willingness to see more exchanges to better serve the public.

Teresa Cheng showed her gratitude for Yang's welcome and said she hoped the mainland and Hong Kong will increase cooperation in more judicial fields and provide judicial guarantees for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
