VP of SPC: Judges and lawyers should increase cooperation to maintain justice

A seminar between the Third Circuit Court and delegates from the provincial lawyers associations within the areas under the court's jurisdictionwas held on Feb 15 in an attempt to strengthen the relationship between the two sides.

At the conference, Jiang Bixin, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) stressed that a cooperative mechanism between judges and lawyers should be promoted to contribute to realizing the Chinese Dream of rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

At the conference, the delegates affirmed the courts' performances in promoting judgment enforcement, strengthening judicial reform, resolving the problems of difficult enforcement and the construction of teams of professional judges.

They also spoke highly of the Third Circuit Court's achievement in creating a sound and stable judicial environment, providing convenient litigation services, supervising administrative acts according to the law and promoting legal publicity.

In addition, representatives made suggestions on improvingthe work of the circuit court.

Jiang showed his gratitude to lawyers' understandingand support of the courts' work and suggested that a cooperative mechanism between judges and lawyers should be promoted to maintain judicial fairness.

He also said courts are making efforts to protect lawyers' interests and rights and would continue to promote innovation in judicial reform to meet people's diversified judicial needs and promote justice.
