Top court collects judicial suggestions from NPC deputies
A delegation of the Fifth Circuit Court, led by Li Shaoping, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), visited two deputies to the National People's Congress in Chongqing to brief them on the courts' work in 2018 and collect their advice on judicial matters on Feb 2.
Both deputies said Liping's visit confirmed that the SPC highly values deputies' work, and helped them better understand and support that of the courts' work.
The deputies affirmed the court's achievements in resolving the problems of difficult enforcement, judicial reform and building teams of outstanding judges.
They said that the Fifth Circuit Court, whose jurisdiction covers Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces as well as the Tibet autonomous region and Chongqing municipality, had made litigation easier for the people in southwestern China and raised the public's legal awareness.
Li expressed his gratitude to the deputies for their understanding and support of the court and said he hoped they will continue their concern about judicial work.
He stressed that the SPC highly values the deputies' suggestions and looks forward to their further advice.
