Enforcement and related regulations in Pupua New Guinea
Derek Hartshorn, justice of the Supreme and National Courts of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, delivers a speech on the development and future of enforcement legislation in Papua New Guinea at a seminar themed on "the Future of Enforcement Legislation" at the World Enforcement Conference on Jan 22. He explained that the judicial system of the country consists of courts at four levels and other courts mainly handle cases related to land issues. Recently, a commercial court has been established to deal with business disputes and a mediation rule is in place requiring all cases to be mediated before trial. [Photo/court.gov.cn] |
