Kazakhstan's experience in enforcement without credit system
Marat Aitenov, deputy CEO and chief legal officer of the Astana International Financial Center Authority (AIFC) of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivers a speech on Kazakstan's credit system as well as the functions and targets of the AIFC, at a seminar themed on "Mutual Promotion of Enforcement and Credit System Construction" at the World Enforcement Conference on Jan 22. He explained that there is no credit system in Kazastan. Enforcement officers have the right to seize property of the debtors and revoke their licenses in accordance with court judgments. In terms of the AIFC, he said that an international mediation center has been established within the center to solve business disputes and make it easier for participants to obtain judicial assistance.
