Top court, CCOIC to deepen cooperation for better legal environment
The Supreme People's Court (SPC) and the Chinese Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) look forward to further cooperation in creating a sound legal environment for international commerce, according to a meeting between the two sides at the SPC on Jan 10.
Luo Dongchuan, vice-president of the SPC, welcomed the delegation of the CCOIC led by Liu Xiaohong, vice-president of the Arbitration Commission of the CCOIC, and expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation between the two sides and to contribute to creating a stable, fair, transparent and predictable legal environment.
Liu gave basic information about the chamber and outlined its functions, saying that she hoped to promote the Chinese market to international enterprises through cooperation with the SPC.
Luo said China has been making efforts to build a fair, open and transparent cross-border commercial disputes settlement mechanism since the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward in 2013.
He added that the SPC launched the International Commercial Court, which provides fair and efficient judicial support for the initiative.
