Courts were required to offer service for special supervisors' supervisory work and making judicial suggestions at an exchange meeting for special supervisors at the Third Circuit Court in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, on Dec 13.

At the meeting, Jiang stressed that courts must accept supervision from special supervisors and from the National People's Congress, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and other organizations from society to promote judicial fairness and justice.

Jiang, on behalf of SPC President Zhou Qiang, made a report on the Supreme People's Court's (SPC) work in 2018 and supervisors at the Third Circuit Court put forward more than 30 suggestions based on their inspections.

Jiang required the courts to normalize judicial procedures, improve professional capacity of judges, deepen judicial reform and innovation and ensure conveniences for supervisors’ work.

He also suggested that courts at various levels should create a sound and positive environment for supervisors such as open training courses and improve exchange platforms to make it easier for them to supervise and make suggestions.

Meanwhile, Jiang said he hoped the special supervisors will continue to give suggestions on promoting court's judicial work and optimizing the legal system.
