Improved administrative adjudication mechanism needed to serve China's development

Courts at various levels should promote private economy and improve the business climate to serve national institutes' reform, He Xiaorong, full-time member of the judicial committee of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), stressed on Nov 9.

The annual meeting of the China Administrative Judicial Theory Society's professional commission was held in Sanya, Hainan province, with experts, scholars and judicial staff of related departments in attendance.

At the meeting, He said courts must prioritize people's benefits and protect their personal rights and property rights in accordance with the law.

He also highlighted that administrative litigation jurisdiction reform and building an adjudication and litigation mechanism with Chinese characteristics should be focuses of the courts.

A professional and normalized administrative adjudication team is also needed to improve trial efficiency, he said.
