Ma Shizhong, member of Leading Party Members' Group of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) pointed out that more efforts should be made to achieve breakthrough in judicial reform during his visit to Hebei province from Oct 24 to 26.

Ma visited the people's court and intermediate people's court in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province, and Xingtai, as well as the Higher People's Court of Hebei, listening to the work reports and holding symposiums with frontier staff.

He affirmed the achievements of the courts in the reform of justice and stressed they should keep focusing on deepening judicial reform through establishing a new jurisdictional operating mechanism on the principle of responsibility being in accord with authority and putting a performance assessment system into use.

Ma also emphasized to transform the problems and shortcomings into the reform's growth point and keep exploring ways to improve its modules.

After the inspection, Ma visited Xiongan New Area to learn about the construction of its intermediate people's court.
