China’s top court held a special meeting on the breaking of law enforcement difficulties on Dec 11 in Beijing.

Zhou Qiang, chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), made a speech calling for sound implementation to win the battle.

From September to October, the SPC conducted a special program to learn about the difficulties in law enforcement in the nation.

Zhou said courts of various levels have achieved great progress in breaking the bottlenecks and people’s satisfaction and sense of gain keep growing.

Judicial credibility also keeps improving, according to Zhou,

However, Zhou said it is still tough work to fulfill the goal of “basically breaking the bottlenecks in law enforcement in two to three years’ time”.

He reminded judges of the nation to find the gaps and learn from experience.

Innovation should be a part of the reform of law enforcement, said Zhou, adding that law enforcement officials should keep improving their working abilities and professionalism.
