Tribunal officers cleared land in accordance with regulations in East China's Shandong province on Aug 3, as part of a summer campaign to enforce the law.

A villager surnamed Geng in Linshu county of Shandong signed a land contract with the Donggangtou village committee in 2011. However, he couldn't develop the land because of 42 poplars on the lot.

After communicating in vain for several years, Geng filed a lawsuit with the court to have the trees removed and won. However, even after the court ruling, the village committee failed to clear the land, and Geng applied for compulsory action.

Law enforcement officers read the legal document of compulsory action at the Donggangtou village, and explained it clearly to the parties involved before removing the trees.
