Du Wanhua, a member of the judicial committee with the Supreme People’s Court met with the visiting judicial delegation from the state of Berlin, Germany, led by Alexander Straßmeir on May 3 in Beijing.

Du expressed his warm regards to the visiting delegates and talked about China and Germany’s close relationship in the law and their judicial systems.

Du introduced the compilation of China's civil code and the two sides exchanged views on jurisdiction, judicial interpretation and directive cases.

The Beijing Higher People's Court has conducted a series of exchanges programs with the Berlin State Department of Justice since 2005 under a twin-city framework.
