China’s top justice and president of the Supreme People’s Court Zhou Qiang met his German counterpart, Bettina Limperg, president of the Federal Court of Justice of Germany, in Beijing on March 21.
Chief Justice and president of the Supreme People's Court Zhou Qiang and Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court President Ramiz Rzayev signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between their top courts at a meeting in Beijing.
Zhou Qiang, president of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC), China’s top court, met with Russia’s Supreme Court President Vyacheslav Lebedev in Beijing, on Feb 28.
The two sides also discussed, among other things, cooperation in case studies, the training of judges, and judicial support for China’s Belt and Road initiative.
After extending his warm welcome, Zhou said that relations between the two countries have seen important progress in 2015. As an example, he cited Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to the United Kingdom last October.
Shen said that with the advancing bilateral relations between the two countries, political trust, cultural exchanges, and trade have increased over the past few years.
30 Chinese lawyers were selected to travel to the United States this year to study at law schools and gain practical experience of working in US legal practices.
