Yang Wanming meets with Brazilian Ambassador to China

On Dec 20, Yang Wanming, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China, met with a group headed by Marcos Galvão, ambassador of Brazil to China. The two sides exchanged views on matters related to the J20 Summit Heads of Supreme Courts and Constitutional Courts of G20 members, which is to be held next year in Brazil.

Yang welcomed the group on their visit and affirmed the steady bilateral ties and close high-level interactions between China and Brazil. Noting that next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Brazil, Yang said that China's SPC is ready to work with its Brazilian counterpart to fully implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state, deepen pragmatic cooperation in the judiciary, push for the steady advancement of judicial communication between the two countries, and provide stronger judicial services for the joint building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Galvão expressed his appreciation for the meeting and lauded the positive results of judicial cooperation between the two countries. He raised his hope that the top courts in both countries will strengthen communication and cooperation in a bid to jointly contribute to the friendship between the two countries.
